Phonics & Reading
You’ve landed on the right page if you’re looking for a literacy programme aimed to improve your child’s phonetic awareness, bring about word decoding skills, and improve his/her reading comprehension eventually.
The Letterland Programme
AGrader’s Kindergarten Phonics & Reading curriculum is based on the "Letterland Programme", an unique, phonics-based approach to teaching reading, writing and spelling for children age 5, 6 and 7 year old.
The Letterland characters transform plain black letter shapes into child-friendly pictograms and they all live in an imaginary place called Letterland.
Simple stories about the Letterland characters, explain the full range of dry phonics facts so that children are motivated to listen, to think and to learn.
These stories explain letter sounds & shapes, allowing children to progress quickly to word building, reading and writing.
More information can be presented to you in person; such as the worksheets that we use, teachers’ profiles, students’ testimonials as well as classroom environment (we have the most modern classrooms in the estates of Jurong & Yishun with SMART interactive whiteboards & ultra short-throw projectors).
