In P3, Students are often confused with Area and Perimeter. We can get them to think of area as the space it occupies and perimeter as the outline of the figure.

There is this type of question where not all the lengths of the figure can be found. Students are to find the combined lengths and not allowed to ASSUME the individual lengths.
